Two weeks ago I wrote about fixing something that you've knitted. At the time, I was consumed with my errors, and I didn't have a way to include pictures. Today, I have the means to post photos, AND it's finished! And not JUST finished, but last week finished.
I told you, she likes that pose!

Quite an original pattern, with the false sleeves. I started with orange cuffs, but they were sub-standard so I cut them off and knitted purple (larger) cuffs as an afterthought.
This became my Egypt-sitting-on-the-beach project since I was determined that at least ONE of my projects would be purchased, knitted, completed and delivered without crossing the Atlantic several times!

It was a joy to knit, and went so fast! I've been knitting on 1's and 2's... Bigger needles! Yay!

What a CUTE sweater. And on such a cutie. I must admire your intrepid imagination because when I look at that poor little red-headed boy wearing the example from the pattern book, I'm pretty much revolted! I don't think he likes it either, by the look on his face. I fear my reaction is very American (or maybe very Texan) and horribly sexist. I don't think you can put boys in such cutie things. Males in big polka dots? Eeeeewwww! I apologize in advance to all of your Continental, sophisticated, less parochial friends who say, "What? Of course boys look great in cute polka dot sweaters!" I do realize we Americans dress our little girls like tarts and our little boys like jocks. And then think aspirin between the knees is a good idea for contraception. We're just nuts. But I digress.
